Board of Directors

The board is the Trust's governing body and is held to account for our performance in delivering healthcare and health improvement. The board aims to provide leadership, to look ahead and set strategic aims and to identify and maintain the Trust’s values.

The board is made up of non-executive directors and executive directors. This membership is in line with guidance published by the NHS Executive. More information about the members of the board, and details of board meetings, is available in the Board of Directors section.

Public Involvement

We are keen to offer its patients and the public opportunities to learn more about our hospitals and help influence their future development. Further information on the ways in which the public are involved with the Trust is available in the Get Involved section. Members of the public are also welcomed at our monthly board meetings.

Internal Communications

We inform our staff about a wide variety of issues through a weekly e-newsletter (The Royal Round Up), a online staff magazine and an intranet site.

Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Trust is a public body, which means we are accountable for conducting and managing our business within a set framework. Our main decision-making groups are dictated by national guidance.
