CQC – Certificate of Registration

The Royal has met strict new guidelines to improve the safety and care of patients across the country.

The Trust received its registration from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) without conditions after the independent body introduced tough new regulatory standards.

All hospitals are required to be registered with the CQC by law in order to provide patient care and its full legal power came into force at the beginning of April.

The CQC is the independent regulator of all health and adult social care in England and will bring together the regulation of health, mental health and adult social care under one body for the first time.
