A constitution outlines how an organisation is governed.

The National Health Service Act 2006 (the 2006 Act) as amended by the Health and Social Care Act 2012 (the 2012 Act) requires Foundation Trusts to have a constitution in accordance with Schedule 7 of the 2006 Act.

The Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts’ constitution, and any change to it, must be approved by the Council of Governors and the Board of Directors.  Any changes that affect the powers and duties of the Council of Governors also requires further approval by the FT’s membership at its Annual Members Meeting.  If you would like any further information about the constitution please e-mail to: CRHFT.Communications@nhs.net
