The Physiotherapy team provides a range of in and out patient services to the Trust, for adults and children (excluding children with developmental delay). The aim of Physiotherapy following an individual assessment is to maintain or restore optimal function to patients enabling them to lead as high a quality of life as possible. The majority of the out patient work, for GP and Consultant referred patients, is for patients who have musculoskeletal, respiratory, neurological, rheumatological or Women’s Health conditions. All Physiotherapists are Health Profession Council and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy registered. Staff undertake specialist training to provide the most up to date evidence based treatment e.g.
The MSK department has Senior staff who have undertaken a range of post graduate specialist training in e.g. diagnosing and treating neck, back and shoulder problems; hand, lower limb and sport injuries. Our musculo-skeletal (MSK) Out patient services can be accessed following a visit to your GP surgery or by filling out our on-line self referral form.
Please note: These referral forms are for Physiotherapy treatment at Chesterfield Royal Hospital only. If you wish to have care elsewhere, you will need to speak with your GP.
