Chesterfield railway station is approximately five minutes away by car or taxi.

The trust has several measures in place to encourage staff to cycle to work. There is information on how to get to the hospital by bike on the cycling page of this website.

Storage: Three lockable covered bike stores are available for staff use. Cycle store keys can be obtained for a refundable deposit from the security office.

Showers and lockers: There are showers and staff lockers located in staff changing rooms

Cycle routes: A cycle path joins the Royal's ground with Wetlands Lane (next to car park 7). This path offers safer access to the town and further-a-field via quiet lanes and bridle paths. A marked, shared pedestrian and cycle route is located at the front of the hospital providing safer access for cycllists joining the main road from the hospital site.

Maintenance: Periodically, cycle maintenance training is provided at the hospital - look out for flyers advertising when the next course is on.
