Accommodation for NHS workers
Chesterfield Royal Hospital Foundation Trust is pleased to present affordable and quality accommodation for Staff working or studying at the hospital.
The Trust offers several different grades of accommodation in our own well-maintained facilities. The grades range from single private bedrooms with shared communal facilities up to three-bedroom fully furnished family houses. The facilities are all situated within the landscaped grounds of Chesterfield Royal Hospital offering great convenience and a pleasant place for hospital staff to stay/live.
Currently the accommodation service is in exceptionally high demand. We may not always be able to allocate accommodation straight away and it may be necessary for us to add your details to our waiting list for your chosen property grade. As soon as we can allocate your chosen grade the office will be in touch to advise.

Please note the Accommodation Office is open 8.30am – 1.00pm Monday to Friday (except bank holidays). Enquiries received outside these times will be responded to when the office re-opens.
Grades of Accomodation:
Classic Single Room (A Grade) – Available for short or longer stays
Comprising a single private bedroom. Four residents share a kitchen, bathroom and toilet. Regular housekeeping service is provided to the communal areas including kitchen and bathroom. No housekeeping is provided in the bedrooms once occupied. *Student Rooms – Several classic grade rooms are available for student use only. (These are offered at a slightly lower monthly rate as council tax is not paid on these rooms as per chart below).
Deluxe Single Room (C Grade) – Available for short or longer stays
Comprising of a large single bedroom with a private lounge / study area attached. Two residents share a kitchen, toilet and bathroom. Regular housekeeping service is provided to the communal areas including the kitchen, toilet and bathroom. No housekeeping service is provided in the bedrooms once occupied.
Studio Apartment – Minimum 6 months tenancy (Currently fully occupied with waiting list in place Please contact to the accommodation office for more details)
The studio apartment is self-contained and combines a living room, bedroom and kitchen into a single room with a separate bathroom. This is suitable for a single occupant or a married / partner couple however there are no facilities for children. Tenants are responsible for their own housekeeping once occupied.
Self-Contained Apartment (Flat) - Minimum 6 months tenancy (Currently fully occupied with waiting list in place Please contact to the accommodation office for more details)
Comprising a double-bedroom, lounge, dining area, study area and bathroom. They contain an open plan lounge/ dining area with a kitchen and a separate bedroom and bathroom. All apartments are self contained and are suitable for a single occupant or a married / partner couple however there are no facilities for children. Tenants are responsible for their own housekeeping once occupied.
All of the above accommodation grades have access to:
- Free Wi-Fi
- Communal TV lounge
- Laundry facilities (Payable by coins)
- Prayer room
- Outside seating areas
House - (Minimum 6 months tenancy, currently all houses are fully occupied with waiting list in place. Please contact to the accommodation office for more details)
The 3-bedroom family houses are all semi-detached homes. Houses are fully furnished and include kitchen appliances. They include a downstairs toilet, lounge, dining room, fitted kitchen, bathroom, three good sized bedrooms and a serviced/regularly maintained garden. All houses have parking areas and are suitable for families with children or dependant relatives. Tenants are responsible for their own housekeeping once occupied.
Council tax is included in all rent charges if applicable.
Utilities are included with all grades of accommodation except for the 3 Bedroom Houses. Gas, Electric and Wi-Fi are charged additionally and billed directly by the suppliers to the sitting tenants of Houses.
