Childcare & Carer Support

For many staff, the availability of high-quality, reliable childcare (full or part-time) is one of the most important factors in them being able to return to work and/or choosing to work in a particular location and for a given employer.

At Chesterfield we recognise this and over the past decade have continuously improved the quantity and quality of childcare we provide and also work with other organisations to help staff identify childcare provisions.

We have an on-site nursery for babies and young children of our staff. We also organise a holiday playscheme and access to childcare advice.

Carers

Some of our staff are carers for family members. Our flexible working and special leave schemes can help them balance their working lives with these responsibilities.
