We’re seeking two Non-Executive Directors to join our Board of Directors.
We’re an acute Trust providing healthcare and community services for more than 400,000 people across Derbyshire. We employ more than 4,500 colleagues across Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Primary Care and DSFS (Derbyshire Support and Facilities Services) and also have fantastic volunteers supporting our services.
With an understanding of the local context and commitment to Chesterfield Royal Hospital, we’re looking for two individuals to bring a fresh perspective to our Non-Executive team and play a key role in shaping the Trust Board dynamic.
Our incoming Non-Executive Directors should be role models to our organisation and highly motivated by our mission and the Proud to CARE values that we live by every day: Compassion, Ambition, Respect and Encouragement. These individuals, alongside fellow Non-executive Directors, will provide effective governance of the Trust to ensure compliance with performance standards as required by NHS England, the Care Quality Commission and other statutory bodies.

As a Trust we believe that an effective induction is a key part of supporting new colleagues and we expect the appointed candidates to take part in the NHS Providers induction for new NHS Non-Executive Directors, in addition to our internal induction processes. For your reference the next scheduled dates for this training are: 13/14 July (virtual) or 21/22 September 2023 (face to face).
