Information alert

If you are eligible for help with costs associated with healthcare then you may be able to claim parking charges back. Visit the NHS website or ask for information at our Patient Accounts desk in the main entrance opposite the shop.

Car parking signage is clearly displayed showing how to pay and where you can park.

Pay terminals are located in the main hospital entrance and in car parks six and seven. The terminals accept cash, cards and payment via a mobile phone app.

You will need to pay before leaving the car park by entering your registration number into the terminal and paying the rate depending on the number of hours stayed on site. You can also pay by contactless card at the exit barriers to save queuing at busy times.

We provide a dedicated free-of-charge car park for blue badge holders close to the main hospital entrance.

We also have systems in place to allow free parking for frequent outpatient appointments and parents/guardians of sick children staying overnight. Please ask the Nurse in charge on your ward for more information.

Below are the current rates for parking at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

You will need to pay before leaving the car park by entering your registration number into the terminal and paying the rate depending on the number of hours stayed on site. You can also pay by contactless card at the exit barriers.

Car parking is free for blue badge holders. Our disabled car park is located at the front of the hospital in Car Park 2. There are 51 disabled spaces in this car park.

Other disabled car parking spaces are located around our hospital site, including in front of Car Park 6 and the Eye Centre.

Patients and visitors coming to the Trust with a blue badge are asked to leave their badges on display in their vehicles. Blue badge holders need to ensure they have a record of the 7-digit code on their badge to input into the pay machine on exiting, to prevent charging.

  • Regular visitors and patients are able to register their Blue Badge at the security office located in the main entrance. Please bring your blue badge when registering your badge for repeated visits.
  • Only one vehicle per badge can be registered. If you come in a different vehicle, you will need to use the pay terminal as per the instructions for daily visits above.
