Eastwood Stroke Unit receives £3,000 to support patients in our community

A huge thank you to Elate Staffing Solutions Ltd for their incredible generosity and heartfelt support for our Eastwood Stroke Unit here at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

Throughout April and May 2026, Elate Staffing pledged £100 for every person they placed into work, aiming to support 30 people to find their next role and raise £3,000 for our charity.

We’re delighted to share that they reached their goal - and this week, the team visited the unit for a cheque presentation and to personally thank our staff for the care they provide every day.

Ricky Clayton, Founder of Elate Staffing Solutions Ltd, shared why this partnership means so much: “My mum had a stroke in September of last year. The care she received from the stroke unit was brilliant, so we wanted to give something back.”

Professor Ganesh Subramanian, Consultant in Stroke Medicine, added: “On behalf of everyone in the Eastwood Stroke Unit, I would like to thank Mr Clayton for a very generous donation of £3,000. No doubt this will go towards improving the patient experience for stroke survivors on Eastwood Ward.”

We’re incredibly grateful for this thoughtful initiative and the difference it will make for stroke patients and their families across our community.
